The Pony Club, established in 1928, organises activities for , and educates young people who love ponies, horses and riding.  There are 2 sections of the Pony Club - branches for children who own their own ponies, which is a worldwide network originally based on the hunting areas of local hunts, and taking their branch name from their local foxhunt.  Although this is still predominately true today, increased urbanisation has spawned branches that are not aligned to hunts.

The other section, know as Centre Membership, is aimed at the weekly rider who does not own a pony and rides at an equitation centre.  These sections take their name from the Riding Centre.

Here at Bunny Hill we have our own centre Pony Club Group, known as the Bunny Hill Centre, and also 2 branches use our facilities to train teams and have training rallies.  They are the South Trent and the Quorn Hunt branches.

BUNNY HILL CENTRE

EMMA IS PLANNING TO START A "RIDING AND ROAD SAFETY" COURSE FOR ALL CHILDREN INCLUDING PONY CLUB MEMBERS WHO CAN DO THEIR ACHIEVEMENT BADGE WITH IT.  THIS WILL TAKE 5 SESSIONS WHICH WILL BE RUN FORTNIGHTLY, ON  A SATURDAY AFTERNOON, WITH THE LAST SESSION BEING THE TEST ITSELF.  ANYONE INTERESTED PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.  COST £80 FOR THE COURSE.
