We run a variety of different types of lessons to cater for everyone’s needs, and they are as follows:-

 For the Child Beginner – there are several options available for children 4 and over. 

The basic starter for little ones is the lead around group.  This is where parents lead their children around at the walk, in a small group, in the indoor or outdoor arena, with an instructor to give instruction and guidance to both the children and the parent.

 We then have a Toddler Group – this is a small group where parents lead their children and the instructor teaches them the basics including rising and sitting trot. 

Next is the Beginners group, which is for children who want to ride on their own in the indoor or outdoor arena and learn to do the basics. Once they have outgrown the above lessons, children can move on to our skill graded groups or have private or semi private tuition. 

All our groups are graded so children are put with other children of their standard and then gradually move up the ladder to a different class as they progress. 

For the Child improver there are again a couple of different options.  These are going straight into a group lesson with other children at a similar standard, or having private or semi-private tuition.

 For the intermediate child rider who wants to do more, we have a special class for those wanting to learn how to do games and jump, but they must be pretty competent to be able to join this group. 

 For the Adult Beginner, we have a beginners group, or you could have private or semi private tuition 

For the Adult improver the groups are graded, with novice and intermediate groups available several times a week. For those who would like to go out for a hack into the woods or country lanes, this is possible on a Sunday morning but is for riders only. 

FOR THE EXERIENCED RIDER with your own horse – you can join any of the intermediate classes or you can specialise by joining a private or semi private lesson or a clinic of your choosing.

 Flatwork for competition Dressage Prelim.thru to Medium with Louise Humphrey.

Show Jumping & Cross Country for Intro thru to Novice eventing level.Private and semi private lessons with Sam Humphrey 

Gymnastic jumping to improve confidence, suppleness, agility. Sam Humphrey

We also do the following for children:-

 Kidz Club run by Lindsay.  Every Saturday morning 9 till 12 and various days during the school holidays.  Doing fun horsey things!!

 Activity mornings/afternoons – these are for any standard of rider, including absolute beginners and includes approx 30 –40 minute riding lesson with pony care and basic stable management. 

Own a Pony Day – this is a whole day where the children look after their own pony for the day and includes grooming, muck out, watering and basic care with approx. 3 hours of riding. 

For Adults:-

 Adult horse care and riding day – this is for any standard of rider including absolute beginners and is aimed at those who have just bought a horse and want to know more, or for the person who is thinking about buying a horse or pony for themselves or their children and want to know more about basic care, health, exercise etc and includes lunch.

 2 hour Hacks are also available for adults ,  These are for riders only and we must have assessed you prior to the hack. 

 Day rides – these are 4 to 5 hours of riding and include a bar-b-q on return.  These are for fit riders only and you must have been on several rides before going on this ride and be a good rider.

 Bluebell rides – these are approx. 45 minutes of easy riding through the bluebell woods (April time) for novice riders and above. 

For Ladies we have a special ride on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning, followed by coffee.  This is for novice riders to intermediate riders and is a good way to work out and socialise in the fresh air!
